Formula Student Italy 2024!🏁 From last-minute car conversions to a full lap in Autocross, our team’s grit and determination were on full display in Italy! Overcoming brake test challenges and weathering rainy conditions, we passed all technical inspections and successfully competed in dynamic events. While some technical hurdles held us back from completing Trackdrive, we’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come. 💪 The potential of our driverless car is huge, and this is just the beginning! We fixed the problems and successfully participated in Skidpad and Autocross. Of course, our car is capable of much more. In motorsport, things don't always go as planned, but that's what makes the journey worthwhile. 🏁 Even when things don't work out, we keep fighting, learning and pushing forward. We passed all the static events with flying colors and placed in the top half of the rankings! •FSA 2024• We’d like to lead with a big thank you to FSA, we’re so grateful you guys liked our music video enough to have us! We are celebrating our static series success, most notably, our 10th place score in cost report. However, following a promising first few days of competition and inspection, we encountered significant electrical issues that prevented us from competing in the dynamic events. After our best attempts to address the issues, we determined the car would not safely run until further work could be done offsite. We are disappointed in this outcome, but view these challenges as an opportunity for improvement. We hope to see the car at peak performance very soon. We’re grateful for the chance to come together as a team in Austria, and are incredibly proud of the effort we have put into the car this season. •FSAE MICHIGAN 2024• We’re kicking off the season with the debut of our GFR24 Orange Car! After getting through all technical inspections and tests with little trouble, the car proved its worth with top 5 results in autocross, skidpad, and a 2nd place in acceleration. Although some reliability issues lead to a less than ideal endurance day, the team is so proud of our work throughout the competition. We’re excited to apply what we’ve learned to the upcoming European competitions this summer!
